Malaga airport is under re-construction therefore please follow this advice upon arrival and departure:-          

Upon arrival:-

Heed the signs - many flights are now being diverted to the "old" airport building so it may be slightly more difficult to locate your transfer coach. rent a car company or company representative.

Before travelling - double check all vouchers and ensure you have a local emergency contact number to call upon your arrival.

In the event you do not see your company representative at the airport immediately upon leaving the baggage reclaim area - find a quiet location to wait - ensuring at all times that you keep your luggage and personal belongings with you - and then call the number on the voucher. This is the quickest way to ensure your representative will be able to find you or direct you to where the transfer coach or car hire company representative is ....unfortunately sometimes the security procedures (which are in place for the safety of everyone) does mean some delays so a little bit of patience goes a long way. !

Upon departure:-

Get to the airport check-in desk at least an hour and a half before domestic flights and a minimum of two hours before international flights.

Traffic entering Málaga Airport may experience long delays so if you have a rental car please allow additional time to return it.

Heed the signs - the access to the public parking areas and the departures terminal are subject to change on a daily basis.

If you are based in the area between Málaga city and Fuengirola - for greater convenience, where possible we recommend you consider using public transportation or contact us to arrange your transfer.

Málaga Airport is undergoing the most extensive transformation of its history: this is a firm commitment to development that will provide the Costa del Sol with modern airport infrastructures.

There are a number of projects in process the most noteworthy are the new passenger terminal, the car park building and the second runway which will allow the airport to handle more than 20 million passengers a year.

Airport Location: approx 5 miles from Málaga city centre.

By Bus:
To Málaga city centre:
Tourist shuttle buses and bus no. 19 run to Málaga city centre and leave every 30 minutes between the hours of 06.30hrs and 23.30hrs from outside the International Arrivals area.

There is also a bus service to Marbella that operates daily, departing approx. every 45 minutes between 05.30hrs and 23.45hrs. 

By Train:
Local trains to Málaga leave every 30 minutes between 07.03hrs and 23.45hrs and to Torremolinos and Fuengirola every 30 minutes between 05.58hrs and 22.43hrs.

By Taxi:
Taxis are available outside the terminals (journey time to Málaga or Fuengirola: 20 minutes; journey time to Torremolinos: 15 minutes) and a small airport charge is added to the fare.

By Car:
